Management needs to inject some life in this flat lining team. Willie's proven he's not the guy to do it. A board of directors would step in in similar, private-sector circumstances. The poor guy has to be dying a thousand deaths. His players are listless and, for the most part, hitless. And, we poor fans now watch the games not to root for the Mets, but to see how creative they'll be in losing this particular game.

Charlie Manuel was on the hot seat while he proved time and time again he didn't know how to execute a double switch. On top of that, the Phillies were playing poorly, losing during the early months of the season AND, he mumbled through every post game press confernce. Seriously, a chimp could have been trained to answer questions from reporters well before this man will ever improve his language arts.

A couple of years later and he is becoming the toast of the town. Why? His players are motivated, hitting, hungry and winning.

Don't you think the Mets on the diamond deserve some of the blame?

Go Phils!!!
